Library service changes during COVID-19 concerns
The Oxford Public Library, along with the Mayor and Council, wants to take steps to protect our community and our staff. In order to best serve our community while remaining as safe as possible, OPL will be initiating a curbside service with an internet cafe, starting Tuesday, March 17 and until further notice.
Curbside Delivery will be available during normal business hours. Contact the library (using any method listed below) to make requests, and library staff will deliver materials directly to vehicles parked under the awning in the front of the building.
An Internet Cafe will be available in the Community Room for those that need access to WiFi. Patrons will use the side entrance (where the stairs are). Tables will be set up with large spaces between them, and patrons may bring their own laptops or devices to use the WiFi. Tables will be sanitized between uses.
In order to facilitate lengthy at-home stays, all item due dates have been moved to June 1, and all fines will be overridden for items checked out during March and until two weeks after library operations return to normal. The 24-hour outside book drop will still be available.
Please take advantage of the library's many online resources, which have been expanded during this time. Links will be available at the bottom of this page for easy access.
