How do I place a hold on an item?
When you search OPL's online catalog, you might find that your book is checked out to someone else. The library will be glad to call you when it comes back!
Click on the item's title from the search results page to see the Full Details pop-up box. Under the Summary tab, there is a Reserve button on the right side.
When you click the button, it will ask you to sign in if you haven't already. (Your username is the last six digits of your library card; your password is your last name.)
Once logged in, the Reserve button will disappear, and a message will appear that says, "Item reserved successfully".
To check on the reserve once made, you may click on My Items on the top right in the Account Box. The Reserve tab will list all of your reserves, when you reserved each one, and what position you hold in line for the item.
As always, if you have any problems or questions, please contact the OPL staff. We are always glad to help!
