There are many reasons why someone may not have strong reading skills as an adult. OPL wants to help! If you are a friend or family member of someone who needs to learn how to read more fluently, please send them to OPL to take advantage of our Adult Literacy Program.
The Oxford Public Library's Adult Literacy Program will not be satisfied until every adult in the area can:
- Read to his or her children
- Help his or her children with homework
- Fill out a form to try to get a job
- Read a bank statement
- Read a medicine label
- Read a street sign
- Keep in touch with family and friends by letters, email, or text.
