Get Caught Reading

Because of research indicating that early language experience actually stimulates a child's brain to grow and that reading to children gives them a huge advantage when they start school, we hope to encourage people of all ages to enjoy books and magazines (and audiobooks!) and to share that pleasure with the young children in their lives. That pleasure grows with the child and into adulthood!

We caught lots of people reading! Check out the pictures below to see who has been caught reading in our community.

Library staff have all been caught reading! See the proof below. Also, we would like to share some information about why we chose the book we chose or why reading is important.
Leaders all over the city (even the Mayor!) have been caught reading. They all understand how important reading is in everyday life. Join them!

Look who else has been caught! Celebrities such as Kristi Yamaguchi, Kate DiCamillo, Tim Duncan, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Donald Duck (with Huey, Dewey, and Louie), George Foreman, Keira Knightley, Horton the Elephant, former First Lady Laura Bush, Mercer Mayer, Neil Gaiman, Patty Duke, Queen Latifah, Yoda, and L.L. Cool J. have all been caught reading!
